Light and enveloping, the Chamonix quilt guarantees the pleasant warmth and sensory delights of pure silk. The compact and soft sateen structure is achieved on special double-weave looms.The brushed finish of the fabric gives the Chamonix quilt a rich, full and soft feel with a velvety texture.
The colours have also been carefully selected. Four elegant two-tone combinations inspired by bird plumage: Dove (ecru and turtledove), Sparrow (graphite and liquorice), Peacock (baby blue and royal blue) and Cardinal (dark red and cherry red). When draped across the bed or on the armchair, the darker shade on one side of the Chamonix quilt and the lighter shade on the other create interesting three-dimensional effects.
Every detail is exquisite. The Poltrona Frau logo is hand-stitched in contrasting turtledove-coloured silk thread. The fringe of the quilt stands out for its subtle variations in size and colour: 3 mm on the two longer sides with a tone-on-tone effect and 15 mm on the two shorter sides and in the same colour as the hand-stitched logo.

Originally from China, where it was traditionally used to create the clothes of the emperors, silk is the finest fibre in the world, just 11 microns thick compared to the 15 microns of cashmere. Known for its exceptional heat regulation properties and its ability to absorb body moisture, it is the ideal fibre for the Venezia duvet. The padding in Mulberry silk, distinctive for its very long and extremely fine regular fibres, is ideal in any climate: it traps heat in cold temperatures and guarantees optimum breathability in more temperate climates. The Venezia duvet weighs just 2.5 kg in the 205x260 cm version and 2.2 kg in the 205x220 cm version. The lining and the piping which embellishes its outer edge are made from 100% white cotton.

The Leather Pot vases collection, designed by Poltrona Frau, consists of three simple transparent glass cylinders in different sizes and a series of covers entirely in Pelle Frau®. Each one is a unique designer object, a true example of the art of blown glass. The glass is blown in an open mould consisting of steel strips. The molten glass is blown through the strips at different intensities resulting in a vase that is slightly, albeit visibly different each time. The milk white finish of the Marianne vase is obtained by combining a layer of white glass with the transparent glass in the crucible.

The asymmetrical shape of the Pura bowl is a result of the balance of solids and voids and leads it to rest naturally on just one side. The marble is processed using numerically controlled machinery and then smoothed by hand to give it a semi-polished finish that preserves its natural appearance. On the underside of the Pura bowl a circular brass plate with Ruthenium finish is engraved with the signature of the designer and the Poltrona Frau logo.

When used as a flower vase Rips merges harmoniously with its contents, highlighting their shapes and colours. The outer surface is decorated with a motif of diagonal lines in relief that create an optical effect which is emphasised by the water and branches in the vase.The oblique lines make the surface three dimensional and underline the beauty of the blown glass in an original way, as if they were lines of stitching on leather. The relief has two different directions, which follow the three main sections of the object, highlighting the vase’s variations in volume.
The Rips vases come in two sizes: large, with diameter of 24 cm and height of 33 cm, and small, with diameter of 20 cm and height of 27 cm. Both are coloured grey. A pale hue for a gentle, understated product that adds a touch of delicate and refined elegance to all types of decor without ever imposing. The Poltrona Frau logo and the designer’s signature are inscribed on the bottom of vase.

They consist of two circular and oval stackable boxes covered with a saddle-leather lid. Each of these consists, in turn, of a stack of four trays, which can be pulled out one by one, held together by the brushed aluminium base in matt natural brass. The collection is completed by two large trays in the same shape and a set of three office accessories: a multi-purpose holder, a pen holder with ruler and a working pad. All containers in the Zhuang collection are made from solid Canaletto walnut, carved from a single piece by numerically controlled machinery and finished with a Cuoio Saddle Extra leather belt in the colours Carbone, Cammello or Tortora. Part of the lids of the Zhuang office multi-purpose holder and pen holder is fixed in position to protect the contents while the mobile part is equipped with a metal clip that acts as a handle. A metal support at the base of the pen holder can be used as a ruler. Billie has a rigorous, almost constructivist design that takes up most of the surface of the rug. The graphic is seemingly straightforward, consisting of a few elements highly calibrated in every single detail. Just two graphics on a neutral background: one an intense red, formed by a circle and a vertical line, and the other in anthracite coal grey and made up of two perpendicular lines. The result is a rug with strong formal balance and notable visual impact. In order to respect the original project and proportions, Billie is available in just one size, 250X350 cm, and one colour variant. It is refined with a hand-stitched woollen trim on all four sides. The Billie rug is entirely handmade on wooden looms using the Tibetan knot technique. Its knots are very dense, 70,000 per m2, to create a very compact and soft surface. It is 50% wool and 50% linen, carefully selected natural fibres that give the rug a velvety and slightly glossy appearance with chiaroscuro and different colour effects depending on your angle of perspective.
The Billie rug is distinctive for the saddle-leather label hand-sewn on the back stamped with the Poltrona Frau logo. To keep the corners rigid, two strips of fabric are sewn onto the back of the rug and embroidered with Max Huber’s signature.

The Chado series reveals processing techniques that have always belonged to the rug culture. Delicate threads of bamboo silk and thick threads of linen, processed with the time-honoured knotting technique, form rugs of three-dimensional value. The miniscule knots are then cut one by one according to the ‘cut’ process. The result is a velvety, continuously changing surface where the sheen of the silk alternates with the opaqueness of the linen, which also gives body to the texture. The Chado rugs are knotted entirely by hand on wooden frames (155,000 knots/m2). The composition of the usable surface area is 40% linen and 60% bamboo silk. The rug is 7 mm thick and weighs 3.5 kg/m2. Dimensions 200x300 cm and 250x350 cm. Made-to-measure dimensions also available on request. The bamboo silk tone-on-tone edging is entirely hand sewn to refine and embellish the four sides of the rug. Chado is available in the colours Pearl Grey, Earl Grey, Antique Yellow, Copper and Soft Blue. Chado rugs are produced in India with respect for our working conditions. The hand-sewn saddle-leather label is stamped with the Poltrona Frau brand.

Dizzy has a motif formed of small broken lines in two different colours positioned both horizontally and vertically. The strokes originate at the centre of the rug and form a radial effect stretching towards the external edge, gradually becoming longer and thinner. The design is based on a musical score and therefore suitable for being presented in different variants and dimensions.The rugs in the Dizzy collection come in two sizes: 200X300 cm and 250X350 cm, and four very stylish shades, two dark: Blue Green, Deep Red and two light: White Sand and Light Gray.
The Dizzy rug is entirely handmade on wooden looms using the Persian knot technique and has a density of around 50,000 knots per m2 with a long pile.
The selection of raw materials is essential in making the surface soft, resistant but also glossy. Only top-quality 100% natural carded and hand-spun wool is used. It is for this reason that the colours are not absorbed in a perfectly uniform way, giving the dyes unique degrees of intensity. Dizzy has a 4 cm-high edge produced using the Kilim technique and made from wool on the two shorter sides, in the same colour as the background of the rug.

The Pecan rug is completely wrapped around a jute core, which makes up the structure. In this way the rug has no distinct front or back but can be used on both sides with an even softer and more comfortable effect. Full-bodied and resistant, jute gives it strength and dynamism.The surface of the Pecan rugs is refined on the two short sides with two 40-mm edges in a Panama weave that alternates a thread of the same colour as the rug with contrasting thread. The composition of the usable surface area is 100% wool while the composition of the structure + usable surface area is 40% jute and 60% wool. It is 12 mm thick and weighs 2.3 kg/m2. Dimensions 200x300 cm and 300x400 cm. Made-to-measure dimensions also available on request with maximum length of 10 m, minimum width of 70 cm and maximum width of 300 cm. Pecan rugs are produced in Morocco with respect for our working conditions. The hand-sewn saddle-leather label is stamped with the Poltrona Frau brand. Its refined colour variants include pale pink, mole grey and graphite.

The Trust system is completed with two kinds of storage units: the Trust Drawer and the Trust Cabinet. The supporting structure of both is in MDF. The top is in Techno Wood, in the finishes natural and medium oak. Cuoio Saddle Executive in the tones Havana or Bourbon Ink or Pelle Frau® leather from the Color System for the exterior upholstery and the drawers recall the other elements of the collection. The Trust drawer unit has a single external filing drawer and an inside drawer whose front is also covered in leather or saddle-leather to match the exterior.
It has hard or soft free swivel castors. Trust Cabinet has three compartments with doors that open to 155°. The central compartment is the largest and comes with an inside shelf. The doors have a soft closing mechanism and it is possible to eliminate or graduate the door’s braking power using a cursor found on each hinge. The doors have a lock and key which can also be used to access the rear cable management compartment. The latter is positioned at the back and can be accessed via the tilting door. The cable management feature is supplied and customised according to the electrical devices chosen and specified by the customer.

Turner is a 123 cm tall and 65 cm wide free-standing swivel bookcase. It consists of an internal supporting structure in metal enclosed in a central column made with birch plywood panels with Canaletto walnut veneer. The same materials for the intermediate shelves, furnished with solid Canaletto walnut grooves to house the 21 dividing panels, 7 for each level. The latter have solid Canaletto walnut edges. A kit of 3 additional panels can be purchased separately to further enrich the bookcase. The top is in birch plywood covered with a double layer of Canaletto walnut refined in the lower part to act as a counterbalance. It is crowned with a circular rotating surface made from MDF and covered with precious Pelle Frau® SC leather or Saddle Executive leather. The circular base is made from black painted steel. The bookcase is completed by the Poltrona Frau logo and the signature of the architect, laser-engraved at the centre of the column under the top.

I came across to LineaSelect by mistake and one day I sent them an email to see if they can help me with Devon&Devon bathroom items.

I had a disappointing experience with Lineaselect at first. After confirming and paying for a binding offer that included a fixed delivery timeframe, I was informed six days later that the manufacturer was currently unable to deliver the product. I was offered to either cancel the order or wait for a new, undefined lead time.
While communication remained polite, the handling of the situation initially felt unprofessional. Accepting payment and confirming delivery, only to withdraw the offer days later, raised concerns about reliability.
Update:
After this rocky start, Lineaselect made every effort to arrange delivery as quickly as possible. In the end, I have to say it turned out to be a positive overall experience. The team was responsive and tried hard to find a good solution.
